We offer interactive tours with contemporary themes for your students. And of course the pupils visitTomatoworld's demonstration greenhouse. Here they can see with their own eyes how different tomato varieties are grown using state-of-the-art techniques. They hear the bumblebees flying and see what is done to get a beautiful, tasty tomato. They learn how diseases and pests are dealt with organically and... of course, they taste the different varieties of tomatoes.
How are we going to feed 9.8 billion people?
At Tomatoworld, this global challenge takes centre stage and is addressed in various, interactive ways in each tour.
Themes such as population growth and urbanisation, the finite nature of fossil fuels, global warming, scarcity of fresh water, food waste, and the importance of healthy eating are essential for students' futures.
During the tour, students discover at their own level how they themselves can contribute to solving the world food problem by making conscious food and lifestyle choices.
Tailor-made programme
In addition to the standard tour, it is possible to put together a customised programme in consultation. In this way, the visit can be fully tailored to the pupils' learning theme, provided this is requested in good time.
